Doug Wright (1961-2018)

He first became involved in politics when he served as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention from California during the 1976 election cycle. He then became more active when he was elected to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors in 1982 as a member of the Democratic Party. While serving on the board, Doug Wright Holland helped pass legislation that created new city programs for homelessness and poverty relief.
